So 20 years ago today I joined the Navy. Well things happened and I wasn’t able to make it to the full 20 year mark. For the longest time I didn’t like Valentine’s Day because of what happened to me, but I’m at peace with it and am happy to say I served and what these last several years have done for me. For the first time in a very long time I want to say happy Valentine’s Day to all you ladies.
So here are two drinks for what would have been 2 decades of my life. One must learn to enjoy the simple things from time to time and not dwell on the past. This has made me into the individual I am today and definitely wouldn’t change it. So as one chapter closes a new one starts. Cheers.

Thank you for your service. My grandfather was an electronics engineer in the Navy. He served during WWII at the Bikini Atoll atomic weapons testing. The stories he had were/are amazing. I'm sorry for your pain during your time of service. I was a contractor. That shit fucks you up in many ways. I'm sending you late Valentine's wishes for any ailments and well wishes for the future!
