I would not say that I am asexual. I am vastly more complicated than that. However, I was reading this article and I was quite intrigued. What is means if you don't have sex.
Really to me this is quite close to the way that people should really be living. In a world where people are not caught up inside their own heads and their own questionable emotions. Where they are so open, honest and expressive that all relationships in their lives are deep, nourishing and real. It is not a world of expectations and demands. a world where people are looking to others to deal with or solve their own emotional wounds. Where people can be emotionally mature and really live. Not at all the way people live now. Sex would be even more passionate and meaningful. It would be deeper, more intense, more nourishing. It would be more beautiful. it would be the transcendent expression of being and path to transformative enlightenment that it should be. What most people consider sex is just sad and wrong. Often times it is down right disgusting. Sexuality is not a right. Life is not a right. They are both privileges. Every where else in nature organisms earn their lives. They earn their sexuality. They struggle to be worthy of such things. They don't sit in arrogant self satisfaction demanding all the things they insist they are automatically entitled to because they exist and perhaps because someone invented a god somewhere.
I get so tired seeing all the beauty and greatness in this world go to waste. So many so blind to reality. So caught up in superficial empty things that they attach such importance to and allow themselves to be consumed by. Letting all true beauty of what they are atrophy. Letting all of their potential dwindle until it is but a ghost in their memory of themselves.
