I'm not going to the SGLA new years party. I'm wussing out because I won't know anyone there, and I'm moving away from trhis area, and want to spend time with alot of my friends here. I hope to maybe attend some event sometime though!
In other news.. . I was supposed to go aout to eat tonight but my friend flaked on me. She got back from London a little while ago and has been super hard to hang out with. She's really busy and really stressed and is being all buisness like, seeing when she can it me in to her schedule, and has had to cancel a couple of the days that were supposed to hang out. It wouldn't be such a big deal, but me and her had some sort of thing together before she left, and have been really close the couple times I saw here since she got back, which leaves me thinking aout her an awful lot, thus making me REALLY disapointed when I dont get to hang out with her, because chances are that I was thinking about her all day following up to talking to her and her cancelling out on me. That's no good anyway, because I'm moving so soon, and it's sorta sketchy to be attached to someone alot when I go. AAHHH!!!!
I decorated my friends aprtment today. He went home for the hlidays and let me have the key while he was gone. His apartment was super sparse so I decorated it a bunch,. I gave him a bunch of stuff that I didn't need cause of leaving. I love decorating... I forgot how fun it is.
I'm designing my new website this week. The old one is good but the new one will have a place for a journal, and pictures f all the crap being auctioned off. Great fun!
Todays listening selections: I was listening to Gang of Four's "Entertainment!". Feedback, jerky guitars, dance beats... It seems you can trace almost all of GSL's lineup to this band, maybe even this albvum. It's rally good thugh, a great thing for a band to be inspired by. I was also enjoying the Buzzcocks singles collection: "Singles Going Steady" I always forget just how poppy it is. It's so cute. They have this image ofbeingg rowdy punk rockers like the sex pistols or the dead boys or whatever but they just write pop songs about lve. AWWW!
Suggested listening today: "Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators" by the 13th Floor Elevators. Psychadelia, and not that hippy shit that everyone likes to call psychedelia. This is real drugged out raw fucked up garage rock. Woohoo!
