I've been having a debate with friends, relatives, strangers and enemies about the apparent lack of truly handsome men and truly beautiful women anymore. It evolved into a discussion on the differences between being hot and being Handsome/Beautiful, and then evolved into discussion over why a younger woman can be truly beautiful but rarely, if ever, do you see a truly handsome young guy. I'm wondering what you're thoughts are on this. Is there anyone who is handsome or beautiful anymore? Has our society almost created a self hating backlash against these people, a nostalgic-induced change of perception? In the same way we'll never, as a whole, allow a band to be better than the Beatles, will we ever allow someone to be AS handsome or AS beautiful as, say, Monroe, Gable and so on?
