wow, has it really been 3 months? i really don't use this site that much anymore it seems...
so here's whats been going on:

- i turned 30 - this was a big deal about nothing, but it showed me who i really can call as friends. i'm not one to usually celebrate birthdays, but seeing at 30 is really the last big one until 50 i decided to throw myself a party that a bunch of people decided to bail on
- i went to my first big MTG tournament - so over the summer i've gotten back into Magic. and lo and behold they were having one of their huge tournaments right don't the road at the International Centre. so i went, played poorly, and had a great time!
- concerts! - i haven't really had much of a concert going ways this year which is odd for me. but in the past few months i was able to catch Alice In Chains w/ Deftones, Birthday Massacre, Recoil, Combichrist, and the Doomtree records collective (P.O.S., Dessa, Sims & Cecil Otter), and in a few days Rammstein & Combichrist again, which leads into....
- I'm going to Montreal!!! - i've never been to La Belle Province, so i'm hoping to have a good time. we're driving out on wednesday and i think coming back friday, it's been agaes since i've spent that long in a car (and here's hoping the cost of gas goes down by then *crosses fingers*)
i also had a date in there which i thought went well but turns out not so much. i need to get a tattoo across my forehead "be blunt" so i don't have to play guessing games lol
