okay, maybe i'm overreacting about this but i'm pissed about this inccident at work and could use some outside perspective -
we have a preshift meeting everday where the crew gets together and our supervisor outlines what we're probably running for the day (for those just joining us, i work in an auto parts factory and i'm the youngest guy on my crew). i walk past one of the guys, who on a good day is an idiot and a jack ass on most of the others, and i make the comment that he put a lot of colonge on today cause i could smell it. he said he didn't but he used the newly installed hand sanitizers this morening to which i replied, "oh okay, cause i'm allergic to cologne and perfumes". later on in the day he comes back from the washroom with his hands cupped, he come over to my side of the conveyer belt and puts his hands up in front of the fan, rubbing them together laughing as he yells out "is this what you smelt?". i had to take off the line and go outside for the next half an hour so i could start to breathe again. i finally came back and tore a strip off him telling him he's lucky i don't take his ass to HR over it. i can't look at him and being around him is making me sick.
this happened this past thursday and i'm still pissed as hell about it. i talked to my surpervisor after it happened and he went and talked to the guy and he said he was sorry. but to me that came off as a totally malicious act which can't be shrugged off with a simple "i'm sorry", which only came after i threatened him with HR
also: i've decided most of my "friends" in real life (re: not here on SG) suck, so i'm taking applicants for new friends. the requirements - hang out once in a while, maybe get together and play some video games, go out dancing now and then, and just shoot the shit. if interested either reply here or send me PM, thanks

With the swine flu being a national emergency now, there is a big push for EVERYBODY to use these hand sanitizers. Be carefull, you might find yourself downsized with a big red flag that will make it very hard to find a new job.
