so wow, it's almost that time of year again...


yes, i'm talking about that dreadful event - The Birthday.


now i've never been a birthday person. for being an optimist, it's always my most negative time of the year. i always tend to look back on the past year and say "wow, look what i didn't get accoplished this year" . last year wasn't so bad - just bought a house, had a decent job, things were going up.

now this year is a little different. just got (temporarily) laid of from my job, but being in to automotive sector, it's only going to get worse before it gets better. still single and not really complaining, but at the same time, i'm not really getting any younger (literally). i'm kinda at that point where i'd like to meet someone i feel that i'll settle down with and eventually start a family with.

i guess what really has got me kinda weirded out is the fact i'm turning 28. i always remember saying back in high school (when i was little bit more unhinged) that i never expected to see my 28th birthday... and now here i am staring it in the teeth. it's a little unnerving <--- that is a word, right?



it's just kinda scary how fast life seems to be flying by and, as much as i hate to look at the past, how i miss those days of being able to be carefree and stupid....
