so yeah big busy week/weekend for me
wednesday, dragged a couple of friends down to London for The Birthday Massacre tour kick off. Traffic sucked on the 403 as they were doing road work and had it down to one lane between the Linc and Brantford. Turned what I expected to be an hour drive into almost 2 hours
But luckily we got there in time to catch both Lye and TBM. Good perfromances by both 
Thursday, caught Bleeding Through at the Underground with the ex. Things between us were okay, but we both thought it'd be better if she didn't come to Warped on Saturday. Anyways the openers weren't really any good except for Elements. Kinda reminded me of Lamb of God in a good way. These guys are pretty young so hopefully they develop a little bit more of their own sound. Ad for Bleeding Through, awesome as usual, even though they were playing one member short due to border issues. I was even more happy i was able to leave this show and not have to visit Emergancy the next day, unlike the last time i saw them. Ended up talking with Brandan for a quick sec and Marta for a bit. It was really cool to see how down to earth they are
Friday was spent trying to find anyone to go to Warped with me. Unfortunately anyone that might've ended up going to the Manson/Slayer show, so that didn't help. I ended up having a panic attack on the drive up there and i had a realization - i really am dependant on other people. I never really had a problem before with going places by myself when i was younger, so this is really bothering me. I was sitting in my room still kinda spazzing when i found out one of the guys i work with was gonna be there which helped calm me down a little.
Saturday came around and ended up going over around 2pm. Caught a bit of Throwdown, saw an amazing set by Gallows (check them out), hung out in the beer tent for a bit. We then went to catch P.O.S. who was pretty cool. Hung out with him and Sims for a bit at their merch booth and then went to see As I Lay Dying. I think i've seen them 4 or 5 times in the last 2 years and every time they are just solid. I wanted to watch a bit of Bad Religion, but after swallowing more dirt then i would've liked to just decided to wander for a bit. Saw this band Ludo doing their last song of their set, which was a cover of Faith No More's "Epic". i had to stick around to see that I decided to brave the dust storm again to see some of Killswtich Engage set and bit of Flogging Molly but by that point i was toast. Headed back to my room to shower and head home.
After getting home decided to go out with a couple of the guys while their ladies had a "Girls Night In". we had a pretty good time at the bar, and they told us to come over on our way back. We got there and things were cool for a bit, but then a huge fight broke out between the two couples. It really put a damper on the night cause we were having a pretty good time when we were out, but oh well. I guess thats the one good thing about being single, i don't have to worry about those kinda fights for now....
