ah, definitely overdue for an update. Life has been hectic down here. I cant get on SG unless I drag my laptop over here to the Rec Center, altho I can get online for "normal" sites while at work. I have tended to ignore SG since I can check my email, play my games, check myspace, etc from computer while I am getting paid to be there at work. I am still single..seems like every girl that I meet down here that I hit it off with is already in a relationship. It is beginning to be rather frustrating. Even tho I am working 70+ hours a week, it still seems I cannot get ahead on bills and such. The fact that no overtime is paid due to it being a seasonal position definitely hurts. I am going to enlist in the Coast Guard this fall I think, altho I still need to figure out exactly what I want to go in as. I have narrowed it down to three positions, Boatswains Mate, Gunners Mate, or Aviation Survival Technician. The AST is what I would most like to do, but it is also gonna be by far the hardest one for me to acheive. It means I would have to lose a bunch of weight and get in better shape. I am starting to work on a fitness programs for it. The AST are the guys who jump in the water, get lowered onto ships, etc from the choppers and do the actual medical and rescue side odf things. It fits in with what I already know and do, but takes it to another level. I could see myself making a career out of this, since its actually decent pay, good benifits, and nice retirement. Plus, being active duty, it means schooling would be paid for me to further my education. The other two positions anre a lil less exciting. The BM is training for driving the ships and knowing how all the boats operatate. The Gunners Mate is the know all for all the weapons systems on board. I have always like shooting and guns, but I dont think I can memorize all the balisistics and know how to repair, on the spot, any issues that come up with the many weapons they use.

Looking forward to a couple of weeks from now for the SGCP 4.0 trip. Already have saturday and sunday off, so should be lots of fun!!!
