Holy shitbat, it's November already.

It's been raining here for something like 2 weeks solid. There are warnings on the news for folks living near rivers on on slide-vulnerable hillsides. I find myself going to class less and less often, instead jumping off the bus at random stops and exploring new neighborhoods and parkland. I roam with camera in hand, and I've been very pleased with many of the shots. If I ever manage to get my photolog back running, I'd like to post a few here. I'm hoping to join the SG photo-group, but I'm a bit lazy, and still remain little more than a lurker. Time, time, time.

My iPod has shifted; I've lost many of my high-energy summertime tracks and instead play out my life beneath a soundtrack of melancholy tunes. Heatmiser, Iron & Wine, old Radiohead, plain old Sam Elliott, the works. My own playing takes on a similar style, as well. I've been jamming with a lovely lass blessed with an amazing voice, and I'm hopeful for good things in the future. She's asked me to play with her at a small gig near the end of the month, so I'm working on a few of her songs to try and incorporate a nice 2nd guitar part.

Selling off my bass gear; I'm just not using it enough. That, and there's a Taylor T-5 coming into the local shop that promises to be absolutely mind-blowing. Time to scrounge up some cash, forget about the important things I actually need to buy, and just go nuts. Or, maybe not. I dunno.

Nothing dies as beautifully as summer. Why is that? Everything falls apart and decays, while nature gets autumn.
Hardly seems fair.

i get depressed every summer, i i think it should fall apart & decay like the rest of them... god, wasn't that melancholy statement!
