Do you really care how lame Everett is? Well I'll tell you anyway. I went to this shithole tavern to see some friends of a friend do standup comedy. I wasn't expecting too much, I'd only met one of them before and they are pretty young. Only myself and three other people showed up to see the comics. This place had like 15 regulars that wouldn't even come up front during the show. They just heckled the poor guys and complained that they couldn't shoot pool for an hour and a half. The openers weren't actually that funny but they never really got the chance, some drunk guys (by the way, it was only 6:30) kept yelling at them. Not even in words so they could respond, just yelling. I felt bad for them. The headliner was actually pretty funny but he had to fall back on the racial humor because all the intellectual stuff went over everyone's head. People in Everett sure like there racial jokes though, Hoo Boy! Just don't joke about Nascar or God, they get real mean. Oh well, So much for culture in hicksville. Lucky for me Seattle is so close.
