Phew, just back from my 2nd guest list gig in 2 days! I'm not really as cool as that would suggest (no really, try to believe me! Try!) just in de right place at de right time. For anyone who cares:
Tuesday day time went on a bohemoth day trip across the expanse of Berkshire from my homestead on into Oxford with Tash and in the evening saw one of my old favourite bands The international noise conspiracy. They played a bunch o new stuff which was a little disheartening (the actual songs, not the fact they were new!), though there was enough of the old and enough of Dennis (Aka ex-REFUSED leadsinger now TINC singer) within 3 feet of me to make up for that. I don't tend to idolise, but he's a bit awesome. I will go no further on that point.
Today i saw The Killers, who were alright. Quite indie wank, but were carried through by their 80s synth keyboard janglings and lanky bass player (he made some good shapes). It was enough to get me tapping my foot anyhow, and to help me overlook the fact that the leadsinger blatantly wants to be in theatre and wears a waistcoat.
Enough! Bed calls.
