I calculated this afternoon from receipts...and I averaged drinking 2 gallons of beer per day in Portland. Not good for me, I'd imagine.
I hate North Carolina.
This state is shit. The times I've come here just from Maryland are bad enough, but with Portland fresh in my mind...ugh. Hot 'n humid 'n bland.
I also hate Dulles airport. I never look forward to flying out of there, but today topped every other time. The lines were ridiculous and once I made it to the e-ticket machine, I couldn't even get my fucking tickets. Their online service wasn't working, either, otherwise I would've printed my boarding pass prior to leaving home. Fuck United. I missed the 4:40 flight, got standby tickets for the 6:15 flight with confirmed seats for 9:30. Go through security and I get fucking pulled for a search. In the dozens upon dozens of times I've flown, I've never been searched, not even at that Dulles shithole. Didn't set off an alarm or anything, was just pulled aside for a search. I guess it was for "tighter" security, random searches or whatever. Or maybe I randomly fit a risk profile today.
I wonder what the odds are on a random pat down catching a real-life terrorist. I can't imagine that they're particularly good.
Airport security doesn't make me feel safe - just angry.
