I love my part-time job.

I do surveys on a contract basis with one fo my friends. His uncle owns all the equipment, so all we have to do is go hike around in the woods or run around other people's yards all afternoon.

Compared to that, coming in to the lab to work on my research is depressing. The only part of my research that is actually fun is when I'm running experiments or writing. All the intermediate stuff that takes up most of the time sucks.

I'm thinking about building myself a new cabinet for my records and record player.
