I guess I lack ambition, or so I've been told, and that's unattractive.
I'll either work in R&D or in academia. I like running experiments, developing analytical models, doing the data handling and analysis, seeing my name in general papers, etc. I'll only work for a company I believe is socially responsible; I'm not interested in working in military applications.
However, I also only want to work 3-4 days a week. Don't particularly care about salary, position, or most of the trappings of success - I'd rather have a 3 or 4 day weekend and go paddle around in a kayak, build my own house in phases as I make a bit of money to buy materials, go wander around in the woods for days at a time, try to grow a good portion of my own food, etc.
