I went on a ridealong with an ambulance today.

The long and short of it is that it was awesome. I'm tempted to look into becoming an EMT now.

10 days in and the new year is awesome.

Thinking way ahead, I want to combine my past three new years into one huge train wreck for 2007.

2004: Blur of kissing and fighting.
2005: One countdown wasn't enough - counted down at least a half dozen time, with stripping @ zero.

Funny that I only liked reading hard science when I was little, but now my taste is entirely towards fantasy, religion, and the occult.

I saw Syriana.
It was, simply, a fantastic movie.
It is also utterly depressing.

I also read an essay in Harper's about Jefferson's bible and the book of Thomas. There's a brief mention of the difference between Jefferson's view for the way we should live and the direction the country should go, and the view held by Hamilton.

I hate that Hamilton's viewpoint won out.

I love US policy.

Sign treaties that lead to offshoring all the jobs people here do want - first working class jobs, then tech jobs...and letting the patents and innovation flow out of the country with them.
