I've started keeping a serious journal for the first time since I was in Jr. High School. I used to be deathly afraid of anyone being able to read my inner thoughts/look at my sketches, etc. in large part due to my belongings being gathered up and taken to a shrink a couple of times while I was growing up. By the time high school...

I'm thinking about switching to a vegan diet sometime later this spring.

It almost seems natural that I should be phasing dairy and eggs out of my diet at this point.

I've worked out being sort of homeless for the time I have remaining in school.

Not homeless in living on the streets of the city sort of thing, but homeless in the sense that almost everything I own will be in storage or the trunk of my car, and sleeping in a combination of my office, the lab, a tent, my parents' house, and my...

I like doing research, but I hate writing about it later.

Even more than the writing, I hate trying to play editor and type setter.

I'm currently in philly.

Went to dracula's ball. Left after final band played, started running throught the streets of philly drunk.

Heard an obvious shooting. Ran to it in time to see policed putting up tape. Then ran to some club near 8th and arch (near my sister's hotel room) until someone tracked me down.

It was an awesome night, coming again in May.

Intellectual Traditions of Western Civilization. Man, I loved that class. It was a hodgepodge of various topics - religion, science, mathematics, philosophy, literature, and history. I loved discussing the...

I spent the afternoon watching My Name is Earl and working on thesis revisions. I had never watched that show before, but really like it after watching the first DVD from season 1.

I really love Baltimore. I went down to JHU to use their library today and remembered how much I like being in the city. There's nothing in particular I can point to...

I saw Amon Amarth last night.

In spite of sound troubles, it was awesome.

DEATH IN FIRE!

I used to walk everywhere when I lived in Utah. Probably around 8-10 miles a day. I miss that.

I want to explore alchemy. I've been obsessed lately. I need to save up the money to buy some starting supplies and take some courses.

Who gets a PhD in engineering when they really just want to build their own cob house and be a sustenance...
