I had that dream again lastnight. I have been having a nasty reoccuring dream for about 7 years now. It's always the same. I suddenly wake up in the middle of the night not being able to breath. When I wake, I can't move at all. My eyes are open at this point, in reality, and I am looking around the room. And there it is.. I don't know what it is.. my room is always dark and there is this thing it is sillouited blacker than the darkness in the room.. remember the movie Pumpkinhead??? Ok, thats what it's sillouite looks like.

Anyways.. so I am screaming and cursing at this presence. It is always holding me down. I am always struggling to get free.. Oh and I do talk and move around in my sleep, But I am not dreaming anymore, my eyes are open and I still see the sillouited figure, it is holding me down and I am yelling in real life.. I still can't breath or move.. finally as I struggle I get more and more of my body control back and I end up sitting strait up in the bed.... this morning I ended up hitting my head on the side of the wall, I sprang up too fast.

So I don't know.. you would think that after 7 years of having this dream, I would know it was a dream.. whatever

i only had that happen to me once... but i woke up kinda and i saw it actually stop, look for an exit and dive out my window... now this is a motherfuckin blacker than black soul sucking demon or whatever it was actually doing a double take and diving thru my wall out the window or whatever...

since then i've never seen anything like that, but i always do see little red eyes everwhere i go, while i'm awake, i'll look at something and no matter where i'm looking, sky ground, toilet, there'll be 2 little red eyes in a knitted brow look that appear for like a second... it's pretty trippy.

my suggestion... stop going to sleep listening to satyricon *nods*

it sounds like you are having a night terror, tane - sort of a nightmare on the edge of sleep and wakefulness. your mind and senses are working (but scrambled) but your body is paralyzed. those are nasty. my little brother has them.
