sepultura is fucking CRAZY!!!! style heavy. all their albums from morbid visions to arise are straight out fucking thrash metal, but max has an awesome growl, he doesn't do the tom araya wail. chaos AD and roots sound like the first 2 soulfly albums, but chaos AD is just flat out fucking insanely heavy, it'd like dropping an anvil on you and beating it into you with a jackhammer, that's how intense it is. their first 4 cd's suffer from crappy production because they where all recorded in brazil, but those are their 1980's thrash cd's. arise is well produced and has some fucking awesone tracks on it, especially dead embryonic cells... but they're definitly not black metal, just really fast and really heavy.
