A follow-up to my previous post:
Just finished reading Righteous. While the previous blog-rant made me feel a hell of a lot better, that book is still digging its way under my skin. As non-fiction goes, its one of the best books I've read all year. Certainly one of the more unsettling ones. Now I can go back to the new Mark Z. Danielewski book and try to figure out what the hell he's on about (which, contrary to how that sounds, is a deeply enjoyable process).
Post-script #1: my Guitar Hero skills have advanced slightly. I've beaten most of the Medium songs, although I'm currently stuck on "No One Knows" and "Crossroads". My fingers just aren't fast enough yet to complete either song. Yet another reason to hate that fucker Clapton.
Post-script #2: As stated in the previous post, I'm totally psyched about seeing Short Bus. The new Gondry flick Science Of Sleep should be coming out soon, and I've wanted to watch that movie ever since I saw the trailer for it before A Scanner Darkly. I'll also have to throw Borat on the list of films I wish I could watch right now.
Post-script #3: I ramble on about media because its an effective dodge. It beats talking about the ideological/political monkey on my back right now. 'Cause rant or no rant, I don't think its the kind of thing that can be expelled from my system that easily.
Post-script #4: Raekwon's "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" gets better and better with every listen.
And that is all, faithful readers. Now I shall slouch towards the Land Of Nod. Sleep: one of the best things ever.
