Day off. Set up my music studio finally. I now have self-powered monitors coming out of my digital recorder. I got one of my songs recorded, although I'm still learning how to use the machine.
It sounds really good, I can play with deiiferent effects on vocals and guitar which is fun.
Went in last week for my first consultation for my back piece. I'm going back Thur for one more consult before I get started on ink a week from Wed. I'm super excited!!
It is going to be a cool piece. The central theme is based around my favorite medicinal and psychadelic plants. There will be a pot bud, mushrooms, marsh mallow, ginger, lotus, peony, an ammonite (a fossilized sea creature in the shape of a spiral), and a large blue flame behind my little pre-existing chalice. The background is going to be pretty complicated, but the main theme will be Japanese style wood carving of rain, which my artist has never been able to do before in a tattoo. It may take a year going in every three weeks or so, the estimate is about 25-30 hours of work!!

Going to Ben Harper tomorrow, still not sure if ankiel66 can get on the list. If anyone is going let me know, I'd love to hang out especially if I'm all alone. Should be fun regardless.

I can't wait to get back and make some sweet music with ya. I haven't really had time to do much out here, but when I get back I'll get into the swing of things. I'm excited for your back peice, I want to finish my left side when I get home, I'm itching for ink.
