I'm a little grizzly today.
The heat in my apartment was so oppresive last night that I kept waking up every hour or two. I even left the two front doors wide open -- risking that chance that any one in K-town could walk right in -- just to get a little cross-wind action. No dice.
May is going to be hairy. Looks like I'm putting my thirty days notice in on Friday and moving into better digs in K-town. My own digs... finally. Was surprised with a trip back to Iowa and will be departing LA for a week on the 8th. And, looks like I'm going to be renegotiating my salary at work -- if they can't pay me my worth this time around, I will be actively seeking a new job full-time. Oh, and a Great Books seminar this weekend. Packed. I need some serious, fuck-you-mama, get-your-mind-off-this-nonsense down time.
And sleep... preferably in an air-conditioned room... under lots of heavy blankets.

Kitty is no closer to being better. In fact, I had to take her to an animal hospital today for an ultra sound. It's distressing for her, distressing for me and distressing for my wallet. I am at $1,850 and counting and no closer to knowing why she is so sick. A friend has suggested some homeopathic stuff which I am going to look into.
