I need to update this journal. Somehow, I cant bring myself to do that simple task. I dont know. I think I prefer checking on people, checking the sets and leaving to the active participation of late, although Im sure that will change again soon.

I was listening to NPR this morning while dropping my little rabbit off at the vet to get neutered and the talking head was discussing a forty-year-old woman who could recall every day of her life, in great detail, from an eleven-year-old to the present date. Moreover, she could recall historical facts and their intimate details, as well as the date they fell on, with great ease. This was not a case of an idiot savant, nor was she using mnemonic devices to assist her in memorizing each day, nor was she memorizing journal entries. Her brain was simply wired differently. I think the article on this woman and the six years of research is going to be in the most recent magazine on neuroscience, but it got me to thinking: my memory blows.

I just read a journal entry of mine from nearly one year again, and after re-reading the entry, I was struck at how vividly I recalled the day, but was also struck that I would have never recalled any of the details of it for the rest of my life had I not re-read it. I need to become a much more vigilant record keeper of my life. Id like some journals to reference if not to simply remember, but to remind me that my life is far more funny and vibrant than I can recall anymore. I feel like Alzheimers may strike down my future self lest I protect my neurons now.

I guess what Im stating is that either this record keeping will be done on this journal, or it wont. Im willing to try it out, though. I need just the littlest amount of discipline to complete the task.

In other news:

Ive officially accepted the MA/PhD package at Northwestern making me an apartment hunter in the neighborhoods of Rogers Park and Edgewater. Any one reading this that is able to offer any assistance, please stand up.

I purchased an Easter Bunny for my bunny. Its name is Robot the Rabbit and its so cute I can hardly stand it. Neither could little Brundlefly. I found out Brundlefly was a boy after I brought the little one home not a girl as the pet store had stated and hence the aforementioned neutering. There can be no inter-gender-bunny-fun until the possibility of babies is zero.

WoW is still the best thing thats happened to my free time next to Angel.

Seriously.

WoW? Dork.

I know, we're old, dude. And your musical taste was much more highly evolved than mine in high school.
Are you still thinking about going to the Pitchfork Fest?
