So I went this weekend and finally got the tattoos that have been 4 years in the making. My best friend painted it for me and sent me the original work and I had it done on Saturday evening!
The inspiration comes from my favorite book ever "Jitterbug Perfume" by Tom Robbins which my high school English teacher recommended to me. It's been an inspiration in my life and art ever since. The word "Erleichda" means "lighten up" in the book, and the beet is a symbol of passion, seriousness, and melancholy. This book is crazy and super weird but I reccomend it to everyone!
But what sucks is that my mom is so incredibly disappointed in me. And I knew she would be but at some point in my life I have to start making myself happy instead of trying to please my parents.
I'm so proud and happy that this art is going to be with me forever!
