She's still happy, and enjoys her walks and car rides and being around people, and when she's awake she's pretty alert, but she's been slowing down. The joint pills we give her are Nutri-Vet Hip&Joint Plus, they have glucosamine, MSM, Chondroiton and Hyluronic Acid. They come 120 to a bottle for around 20 bucks, I think we found them at the local Ranch and Farm store so if you have a place like that or probably a petco or something you should be able to find them.
Shady is doing a lot better now, still limping a bit, but putting weight on her back leg and getting around just fine, all things considered.
And on the whole biodegradable thing, I know exactly what you mean, when I was a kid and supposed to pick up after my dog I would get out the hose (if it was nice enough) and just blast em with water, hell it's good for the lawn anyways.

One of my best friends graduated from college today and we all (me, her, her bf, my bf,)went out and got the BEST Chinese food EVER and came back to our place and drank a bottle of Southern Comfort and some beer and played spades and then dressed up like hookers and hula hooped and made art. BADASS.
