Ah, long time no update. Well, I had a good Thanksgiving (or, as Nate calls it, "genocide of the indians day,") even though my brother was annoying the hell out of me by literally acting like he was still 10 years old. That means constantly trying to get my attention by hitting me, tugging my hair, tickling me, making dumb noises, poking me, etc. (He's 22. He still hasn't learned how to socialize w/ people in a more adult manner.) I mean, I'm immature, but there's a difference in being immature and actually mimicking the actions of a child. After a couple days of being home he finally chilled out, but not without me blowing my top a couple times and screaming at him to leave me the fuck alone. But it was nice on Sunday when I had to take him back to Columbus cuz his car wasn't working, and I actually had a couple hours to myself on the way home. Myself and Tool....MmMmMm Maynard James Keenan.
I've had a cough ever since that night cuz I was, um, "singing" too loudly w/ the music. By singing I mean attempting various death growls and screams, which my little girly throat isn't very good at. I haven't gone to work since Wednesday cuz I'm trying to recover. I actually slept well last night! It was awesome! Nothing like prescription vicodin/robitussin to knock u out. I accidentally took a bigger dose than what was recommended though, so i got really dizzy and puked a couple times. Wasn't bad, I've thrown up worse things. But I'm starting to feel better finally. I just hope by next week I am able to get my butt out jogging again.
I suck at cooking tofu.
I was going to get my ears stretched this week for the first time w/ Lena, cuz she's home for a month from school, but we didn't get to becaaaauuse we went to eat at Squeaker's in B.G. and I accidentally parked in someone's assigned parking spot, and when we were done and walked out to my car the fucker had blocked me in. Even though there were other places he could have parked his car...but it turned out to be a pretty funny situation because our first plan of action was to try to just drive my car over the curb. I had about a foot of space to get my car up to some sort of speed, and sp forward I went, hoping that somehow my car would miraculously jump over 5 inches of concrete. Of course, we were badly mistaken and the bottom of my front bumper went "CRUNCH" and stopped. So we spent the next 30 minutes going in and out of these little businesses trying to find out who's car is was, because I didn't notice at first but we were indeed in a numbered and private parking lot. So after climbing tons of stairs and asking several people in several offices, we found a lady who told us that the parking spot belonged to her boss and owner of whatever company it was, that he was in the parking lot that second getting my car towed, and that he "hates it when people park in his spot." Ahhh, of all the people I could piss off....so we ran back out and through another store to get to the back lot, and by the time we were out there the dude was gone but my car was hooked up to the tow truck ready to go, I stopped the tow guys before they could take off with it and they only charged me half price, which was 35 dollars. Luckily Lena and I barely had enough cash to pay it. ALL IN ALL, it was really fucking funny, cuz the whole time we were laughing and wondering why the hell this stuff always happens to us when we hang out. Anyway, by the time we got back to Findlay I had to work, and it was too late to go to the tattoo place. Next week maybe??
OH, and btw, I am begging all my family members for a digi camera so I can finally upload some pics!! Maybe a self-shot set? The one I'm looking at (and I'm thinking my bro is gonna get for me,) has 5.3 megapixels, so the pics should come out pretty nice. We shall see!
I always try to imagine what the world looked like before streets. Before cars, and houses, and buildings. Before electricity, before civilization. When I walk down the street, I try in my mind to make it all disappear; close my eyes and imagine, wondering where the trees were, if there were boulders or bushes where that streetlight is now, or if there was a pond before there was that gas station. I picture in my mind an endless field that stretches forever with different forms of vegetation and species of animals that could have been had we not gotten here first. I just wish I could block out the noise of the traffic.
