Ok, I disagree with Tim up there. Sure it's "natural," but it would never have happened in America or Europe because we can afford warning systems. Tho i think it's really good to donate money to causes like the tsunami fund i think it's always fucked how it always come down to just (well, in the majority) us ordinary folk to come up with all the cash they need to help. A lot has to be said for governments and large corporations and THEIR responsibility to these causes.
