Everybody around me is getting married and you know, I don't even think I want to anymore, because what's the point? I think I already do all the things I would do anyway for my boyfriend regardless of our relationship status beyond dating or whatever. People get engaged before they date these days. I'm a cynical piece of shit blah blah but I don't think it's cute for 18 year olds to be getting married and playing house. BEFORE ANYONE SAYS "RAARRHHH!!!! I GOT MARRIED YOUNG AND ITS STILL PERFECT"...actually, go ahead, because I don't feel like saying *not everything I think is always true or wrong or right or even close to either of those things or even based on reality or someone's intense fantasy* (except it looks like I just did).
Another retort to this might be "Don't do things for him that go beyond dating and he'll want you, etc." Number one, I don't want him to or care if he wants me like that, and number two, why the hell not? I'm not going to alter what I feel like doing for a person based on relationship status.
Finally, please don't write me messages or leave comments saying "omg your boyfriend is sooo lucky to be with you you're a goddess and i would totally marry you" because if you do you have totally missed the point.

haha this kinda reminded me of this girl thats "engaged" to my friend, when they started dating like two weeks ago! and he bought her a ring and shes dropping out of college when she had a full soccer scholarship, to be with him! and on top of that hes trying to get her "knocked up". haha so yeah i know what ya mean! half of my ex boyfriends are married and i think its a joke. im not even kidding when i say i am way to immature and selfish to get married anytime soon! give me like about ten years maybe... hah! to me marriage is like your relationship status on facebook. its really not making anything more official, its just there for other peoples sake to know "oh look shes married to so & so.." and i dont think it changes the relationship, or how you feel about the person from before you were married. so its overated..

I know a ton of people that are young married and very unhappy. I dont know if its better to get married later or not at all. I guess its left up to the couple but I know it would be a hard decition for me to make.
