well, good news and bad news.
Good = the kids are now technically wards of the state, my sister no longer has custody.
Bad = I don't have room for them YET so they have to go to a children's home for a little while.
i took off today so I can find a place, but i let the case worker know I was DEFINITELY interested in taking them.
this means I will be the legal guardian of a 6 yr old girl and an 8 yr old boy.
i just wish my sister wasn't such a fuck up. a kid should be with their natural parents. man, this is gonna SUCK having the responsibility, but when they're older and not crack addicted prostitutes (him AND her), i'll have my sweet reward.
there's a hearing at 8 in bartow i'm going to. i don't think i'm actually supposed to be there, but I figured it couldn't hurt. this way they see me and my other sister are serious about taking them.
that was my new year's day. hope yours was as eventful, but in a better way.
