I'm sooooo tired....can sleep be addictive??? I got home from work and slept for two hours. I would have kept on sleeping but I have to go to class.

Today went well though...and it shouldn't be too difficult to fix the whole check situation with Target....just more difficult (those bastards mad )

Only two more days until the week-end...I love "short" weeks smile

The kids outside are...

i think i'm addicted to sleep, too.
the boy woke me up this morning with a cup of coffee, and i almost immediately curled back into a ball after consuming it.

the kids in your neighbourhood sound like the ones that live around me... they usually try to hide in the leafless trees of the forest and throw shit at the parked cars. they scream and carry on alot.
when the weather wasn't so canadian-winter, they set up a little skateboard community on the street. they took a shining to leaving 2x4s with nails on the road, and watched ever so intently, whether or not they could cause severe tire damage.

i wanted to cause severe frontal lobe damage. wink

sleep can definitely be addictive- i'm living proof of that. confused

UGH..... I hate them

blah

I miss people who are nice...where did all of the nice people go??????

Where????

ugh.

hate them

ugh.
wheezy_e:
Well, at least they've got a big target on the front of the store you can aim at. The nice people didn't go anywhere, they're all pissed off at different retailers for different reasons. What did they do?
I tried to put a link to whirleygiglasvegas.org but it just brought up the SG news page. So you'll have to cut & paste. Gotta run, I just rented Sean of the Dead.

Me too. I would have preferred Ziggy but I guess I'm too old and sober.

Bubble bubble

toil and trouble

I like to take bubble baths on days that it rains....I can hear the pitter patter of little water drops falling on my skylight

it makes me smile

I took your recommendation and saw Constantine. Loved it. I was wary because of a review I read. Fuck the critics.

I have had quite lovely days since my fiascos at the beginning of last week....it is nice not to feel so miserable. My head is clearing and I am finding myself with all of this newfound energy...and am becomming confused as to wear to point my enthusiasm. For the first time in awhile I feel like doing a million different things and have not a...

My head hurts...too many cigarettes...ugh....

I'm sure its that and the combination that I realized around 5:30 that I hadn't eaten anything all day but coffee (that's one of the major food groups, right ?). I then went to my refridgerator and my cupbords...found nothing but condiments and milk.... and remembered I hadn't eaten anything because I had no groceries. Off the grocery store I...

I had a good day too. And too many cigarettes... Go figure.

escottie:
i'm told that food is important during the course of a day. despite knowing that, i still live on coffee and cigarettes some days.

it does wonders for my girlish figure.

it's snowing. apparently it will continue snowing until 3-5 inches have fallen. as dry as things have been, i'm psyched. i'll make a snow angel on your behalf.

Listening to the sweet words of Gordon Downie...whom if you've ever seen perform live appears to be the purely angryest man in existence...but he sure does sing sweetly

"Chancellor"
Seconds from pajamas I must first open all the doors
and the windows
and invite the vampire in to be one of us
Then, in the guise of cool air, in the softer hours,
he's there,...

Since you looked at my art, I figured I'd look at yours, too. Nice work. I particularly like the fifth one, which is splendid, though they are all well rendered.

And you're in VEGAS! How absolutely awesome! You're one of the few people who commented in my journal.

Hope to hear from you again.

another good day...that's two in a row and I am starting to feel more like myself every day...and I realized that I don't have to go to work on Monday because its President's Day and we don't have school!!! whoooohoooooo!!!! Another day to sleep in and perhaps I can get my studio together and paint for once. And if I can hold on for another...

I am happy to report that I finally had a good day despite the fact that I only recieved two hours of sleep due to my terrible day yesterday and the looming fact that I was determined to go back and try to fix what had happened. I ended up having a really good discussion with my supervising administrator who apologized profusely for HER behavior...

Welcome to Las Vegas. Sorry you aren't happy here. I have been here 27 years and figure one place is as good as another. I read about your saga and from your description of the work it seems like the admin was out of line, especially since it is artistic expression. My wife is a high school librarian and says her principal is all about the image the school projects so she works real hard to stay on his good side. I teach yoga part time at UNLV so they leave me alone there, I was told I couldn't burn inscense in the PE building but that was understandable. Mr Blister says your looking for some good soup? I had some good sweet potato soup at Mesa Grill @ Ceasars on sunday.

I'll write some more later, but I wanted to just stop by for now and leave you a 'hello'. Las Vegas can be tough. I'm out here alone, too. We'll swap stories . . . hang in there. It gets easier. I promise.

You like seeing really good live shows? Yeah!

So...I've been utterly deflated for the second day in a row. It is just not my week I have a feeling. Which is sad to realize since it is only Tuesday and I have three days to go before the grace of Saturday and Sunday. The art department, particularily me, has been officially censored. One of the paintings that I had hung up a girl...

you've reached the absolutely best time for a lesson in how different people see different things in the same work of art. that art is subjective, and that it's not wrong to put emotions on a canvas, that what the artist believes is beautiful and emotive sometimes is not understood--is even dismissed--by the outside world.

but that it's okay....
n:
oh *sigh* that sucks. sounds like the admins there are pretty reactionary because they're completely at a loss for how to handle the kids.
