You guys rock. It's always fun to get to know people for who they are outside of the mundane crap you usually talk about on SG.
Someone requested more facts about me, so here's a few.
1) I don't open soda cans all the way, I open them about quarter of the way and suck the soda out through the little crevice
2) When I go out to eat, I always order coffee, and I compulsively take all my empty sugar wrappers and stuff them into an empty creamer container, and then stack that creamer container with any other empty creamers I've used, then crush it as much as I can to conserve space. The waitresses must love me.
3) Also when I go out to eat, I always take a toothpick if they have any, even if I don't need one. Even if there's a little basket of candy at the counter, I will choose the toothpick over a tootsie roll any day
4) I drink an average of about 30 cups of coffee per week
5) I'm a firm believer in recycling and get wicked pissed if I see anyone throwing away soda cans. And if I ever caught you littering, I would fucking kill you.
6) Keeping in theme with the last fact, I am a proud member of the World Wildlife Fund
7) I have two pet rats...I had four, but one died a few weeks ago, and that one's brother died today
. They died of old age...stupid 2 year life spans.
8) When I was in middle school, if I received an award for anything I would rip it up on the way back to my seat, not because I was ungrateful, but because I honestly don't think I deserved them...a lot of other kids put 10 times more effort than I did into anything and never got recognition and I thought it was unfair
9) In 8th grade, the only award I did keep was for winning 1st place at our school's poetry slam. It's still one of the few things I'm really proud of
10) When I eat a Reece's Peanut Butter Cup (which is my favorite candy if you couldn't tell), I first nibble off the top ridges around the circumference of it, then go around a second time and nibble off the sides. I peel off the top and bottom chocolate layers, roll the remaining peanut butter into a ball, and then eat the ball.
11) I once wrote a letter to General Mills asking them how to properly pronounce the name "Lucky Charms"...a friend and I were in a debate; he said it's pronounced Lucky CHARMS, and I said it was pronounced LUCKY charms...about three months later I got a letter back from General Mills, stating that they couldn't answer my question at this time but did include a sheet of random Lucky Charm trivia.
12) I was raised as a Jehova's Witness, and my parents did a piss-poor job of explaining our beliefs to me properly. Since Witnesses don't celebrate holidays, I thought that if anyone even mentioned a holiday around me that it meant I was going to Hell. On my birthday in 2nd grade, one of my classmates started singing happy birthday to me and I freaked out and scratched the side of her face so badly that she started bleeding. I feel really shitty about that now.
13) I also remember being young and seeing Santa Claus at the bank. I started crying when he asked me to sit on his lap and told him that I'd go to Hell if I did.
I think that's good enough for starters.
