I'm now officially a resident of Las Vegas.
So far I've got a new bed on the way, as well as a 5 piece dining set and a flatscreen TV... I sign my lease tomorrow and will start moving my stuff in on Saturday. It feels really awesome knowing I'm going to be responsible for my own place, with money that I'm earning (and not loan money that I have to pay back. Speaking of which, I have to start paying back student loans soon. Crap.) Once I get everything looking decent I'll probably post pictures.
Of course I don't have a couch, a computer desk, and a plethora of other household items, including dishes and silverware...it's probably going to look pretty empty for awhile but I'm sure in a few months it will be spifferiffic. Fuck you Firefox, spifferiffic is totally a real word.
The job seems to be going well so far... I feel a little out of my element, as I'm by far the youngest person there and also the only one with facial piercings of any kind...but everyone is really nice, and in due time I'm sure I'll feel more comfortable. I've been learning Corel as that's the software required for designing and I've caught on really fast. So fast that they even let me make a sign for a client even though they typically don't let new hires work on any "real" work for two weeks. I got to work on that sign my first day. It was nothing difficult but it still felt awesome making it. (Also it was going off of a design by the guy who hired me.)
I realize that I haven't really written anything in my journal requiring a lot of brain power in quite some time. Perhaps I'm still burnt out from school. Or maybe I subconsciously hate my job already.
Also I need new friends in the Vegas area. Preferably those with vaginas.

Glad to hear Vegas is working out for ya thus far. I'm sure you'll do great at the new Job. I know a couple folks in vegas.. But sorry they have penis's... penii... fuck it they have Peen's.
