A sign that I've been working on 3D work too much lately:
Steve commented on the color of our kitten's fur, noting how the roots are a darker gray and they lighten at the ends, giving her a sort of glowy appearance. My response:
"It looks like someone put a falloff map in her reflection slot."
I don't expect anyone who's not into 3D to know what that means, but trust me. It's really sad.

sigh. after a long bout of trying to get lighting right in a thing i was working on, i went back to my poorly-lit room and wondered what the ambient occlusion settings were.
