It's official.
I am extremely sick. I had a fever all last night and no matter how many blankets or clothes I piled on, I kept shivering. My head is pounding like there's some guy with a mallet on the inside of my brain trying to get out. My throat feels like there's a piece of glass stuck in it. Every time I yawn or breathe out through my mouth it feels fire is shooting out. My body is so sore all over that I couldn't sleep last night despite taking medicine. It feels like God took a big nasty shit all over my existence.
Two of my co-workers are taking me to the hospital. I'm really worried that I'm not going to get my 2D final done in time. I'm hoping that if I give my professor a Dr.'s note she'll give me an extension...but it still sucks because I was planning on going home this Friday. I'm not sure if I'd be allowed to give her my final after the quarter is already over. Not really sure how that works. I guess I could just e-mail her and ask her ahead of time.
Ugh. MAKE IT STOP.
UPDATE: I tried getting ahold of a medical center nearby for an appointment and they said the earliest they can get me in is April 25th. Wow, guys, thanks a lot! I will have already failed my class by then.
This is really starting to piss me off. Is it really that hard to look down someone's throat and prescribe them some fucking antibiotics? Fuck you, US health care system. Fuck you up your stupid ass.

For example in the north west, sout west their are a total of 6 medicenters or drop in clinics VS the eastern and northeastern parts of the city which have only 3.This trend goes for almost every government service, except for of course police stations!!
At any rate this is only the backdrop to my own personal experience when I got sick and tried to see a local mediclinic, the waiting time was rediculous and to this day I travel across the city just so I wont have to wait 5 hours to see a doctor.
And like the others here are saying; the combination of Vitamin C, echinacea and I will one up here zinc(ooooo aaaaa zinc) lozenges are good, also fresh lemon and ginger tea and lots of it are also a good remedy.
Hopefully you feel better soon and don't fall behind in class. And now I'm off to class before I skip again x_x;
