One thing I noticed in my last entry is that not everyone is familiar with Sakura-con and the character Lulu, so allow me to elaborate very quickly:

Sakura-con is an anime convention that takes place in Seattle in the spring...I don't take Japanese but I think Sakura means "spring", so yeah, "Spring convention" I guess would be the translation. I could be full of shit though.

Lulu is a character from Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2, admittedly I haven't really played either but I watched my boyfriend play FFX-2 for a bit and decided the game sucks, but Lulu is really badass and hot and that's all that matters. Anyway, this is her: Lulu

The main reason for the trip though is to see a friend of mine that I knew in highschool, she lives in Seattle with her fiance and the con is a good excuse for us to get together and be merry and all that.

True story: last year when I went to the con, in the first half-hour I was there, some random cosplayer chick (cosplay = the act of dressing up like an anime character at one of said conventions in case there are any non-geeks reading this) came up to me and told me I was hot and asked if we could kiss and take a picture. I of course said yes, and later on my friends informed me that she was was pretty beat-looking, but I don't care, I don't get a lot of action from chicks so I was in heaven

I've been working like mad on final projects, I'm modeling the corpse bride in 3D (I gave up on the batmobile eons ago, it was too difficult) and it's coming out pretty good, when it's done I'll probably post it. Yar.

So some guy on here told me he'd pay me 200 dollars for the panties I wore in my first set. At first I figured why the hell not? Until I found out he had a wife and that the transaction had to be kept secret. Well, fuck that. I'm all about collecting SG memorabilia of sorts (well, I would be if I had money, anyway), but if you're just some middle-aged pervert hoping to get your rocks off to a pair of panties behind your wife's back, that's just sick and wrong. Man, I'm glad I didn't go through with that, I would have hated myself forever.

I need to get some food and coffee (with soy creamer, yum!) so I guess that's it for now.

Oh, someone also asked in the last entry what comes in a vegan starter-kit.

Basically it's a package that includes a letter from PETA thanking you for exhibiting an interest in not eating the flesh off of animals, a small vegan cook-book, a bunch of anti-meat stickers (lE one has a chicken holding a sign that says "I'm not a nugget!" and "pigs are friends, not food"), and a catalogue that includes other vegan stuff you can buy, as well as quotes from celebrities that are vegan. I was thinking of getting one of the posters just to gross Steve out, it has a woman holding a skinned fox and at the bottom it says "here's the rest of your fur coat." Even if I decide to keep eating meat, one thing I have always strongly opposed is wearing fur and leather. God, it's bad enough that we're raising millions of animals in horrible conditions just to be sent to the slaughterhouse and eaten, but ripping their skin off and wearing it, too?
