the power is out.
how am i on the computer then you ask?
ahh the benifits of generators.
it was quite the storm.
a few people died as a result.
including an actress that drown in her own basement because it flooded so fast she couldnt get out.
on the news they said in the history of the city they have never heard of anyone drowning in their own basement.

some of this is actually funny for me. i cant name any specific incidents but the sheer panic of the city is permiated by the comedic fact its all due to wind and water. in seattle.
its like mother nature just gave the pretentious individuals of the city a slap in the face remarking, "SO THERE BITCH!" as she did so.

it speaks to the controversy over weather(pun) the recent erratic weather patterns like that of katrina are due to global warning. God knows that i have never seen it be so windy, rainy, or snowy within one season. With that controversy, you must ask, is it really worth the risk of denial? In all reality we are not the power that towers over the fate of nature. Nature is resilliant and no matter what it endures as a result of our short stint here, the ultimate balance will be restored. regardless if that involves our extermination or not. the "green party pussies" are in fact, not that at all. They are simply attempting to insure our presence here through lip service to mother nature. which is the way it really should have remained through time but, as human beings are, we got cocky and began to believe we have more power than we actually do over the situation. hence, why i'm typing to the hum of a generator and the light of a candle.
davinci:
After reading your entry a few times, i realized your point - we are in fact responsible for the state of the environment - but for the greater part, people think it won't come back to kick our ass. how wrong they are.

Yes , they world and the climate patterns do display a cyclic patter, but we have thrown that into a dangerous spin out of control. The world will right itself, but we will be long gone by then. If you have not already, please see "An Inconvient Truth". Very complelling
