Today was awful! I A baby bird fell out of its nest onto my front porch this afternoon and it was still breathing. Of course I needed to try to save him but I was unsuccessful . My brother wouldn't let me borrow his car to drive the birdie to the animal rehab center which spawned a huge fight during which I called him a heartless asshole. My car has a dead battery right now so I felt totally hopeless. None of my friends were around. I was about ready to take a cab which would have been way way too expensive when my brother finally came through. Unfortunately he was a tad too late and the birdie died in the car. It really ruined my day. I really think I could have saved him but he was just a hatchling so I guess they really need to eat every 10-15 minutes and they lose body temperature very quickly. I think I am going to start thinking into starting my own rescue operation.

The building next door is housing some brand new kittens as well. I already have four cats for this very reason. It breaks my heart that I can't take every one of them home with me. I can't even afford to take care of myself it seems. Someday I will have a farm or something with lots and lots of animals . Until then I will just have to do the best I can and take care of the ones I already have.
