I am back from cali and i want to go back! i think i have decided to move out to san fran as soon as i graduate! i had to dive right back into school and bills and signing my new lease so it was a bit overwhelming i must say. i am really excited about one of my classes. Leah (the fabulous woman who shot Heirloom) is teaching us how to work with beeswax and oil paints over our photographs. this was definitly not something i thought my school was going to offer. we are more like a commercial based art school, which has its ups and downs. if anyone is interested and wants to know what encaustic is all about go ahead and google some artists! i found some really great people that are doing some amazing wax work. i still think leah is the best i will post whatever i make if i think it has any worth. if you go to leahmacdonald.com you can check out one of the shots leah did of me. it is under encaustic works on paper. it is called belly star (the last photo in the first row).
