Happy 2005 to everyone, and Happy Birthday to me. I spent the 24th with my cousin trying hard to enjoy myself... but it's really impossible when you're congested and sick.

Well...I just wanted to say hi. My tickets to movin' Out came in the mail today...Munda excitement. I'm such a theater geek.

I had been to many major productions, and even did theater in college. Always the spear carrier, but never the star. But the real "LOVE" for theater didn't click until I saw "Rent" about a year ago. I've even expanded to Opera when I can. Though, not many of my friends like it, so i usually go alone.

Like I said before, you would really be floored by the amount of "REAL CULTURE" in Norfolk. We have Big time Theater, Opera, even our own ballet company. I think it has to do with having 4 universities within 30 miles of town.

HEY---

read the article, and was moved to sign your petition. I could go into a long diatribe about my past and why this kind of shit pisses me off, but i won't. Let's just say 'this kind of shit pisses me off' and leave it at that.

on a brighter note, hope your holiday was good. Christmas for me will be great. I'm a long-distance father (not my choice) to a 14 y/o son, and this is one of about 8 weeks out of the year i get to be a "real" father. So yes, i am looking foward to it. needless to say though, i won't get to go out for the new year, which is ok.

so, do you have any interesting plans? hey, you might find this cool. though I am not going out, I do have theater tickets for new years day. MOVIN' OUT is going to be in town, i'm really excited about seeing it. believe it or not norfolk has a pretty good theater scene. lot's of small regional theaters in town, plus they have a beautiful theater that attracts most of the Broadway shows that are on the road. Last year I saw RENT, THE PRODUCERS, and GREASE. so yes, though not going out friday night, I do have plans for the holiday.

sorry you are feeling so "worthless" . take it from your partner in pain, i'm there 5 out of 7 days a week. I have my reasons, i'm sure you have yours. one truth i know about depression, it is relative to the person who is experiencing it. that's why I alwys hate when people tell me "it's not that bad", and "it will get better". how the fuck do they know? are they inside my head, do they know what fuels me? a big fat no. so i won't give you the requisite , "chin up little buckaroo, it will get better". i mean it will get better, it always does. when it get's better is up to you though.

on a much more important note. did you EVER find that bra. because though i feel the bloodkitten may be a little undertrained for this task, there is always rudi , the one-eyed wonder cat. yes , i really do have a one-eyed cat. long story, ask and i will tell.
