BIg suprise at work tonight- a real band. I knew I was in trouble when they came in and mentioned their rider. No, I never saw that.

I do sound at this theatre not because I'm good, but because I suck less than all but one of the other people who work there. I'm a lighting guy, a good one I think, but I'm no humhead. So these poor guys got the worst mix of their tour. But, as I told them, at least they'll have an "at least we're not there again" venue for the rest of their tour. It really didn't sound that bad in the house, but I can only imagine how bad their monitor mix was. Then again, I'm on a mackie with a sweepable mid. I wish I could EQ like a pro. I just don't do it often enough. And I'm an electrician.

Anyway- the show was great despite my best efforts. It was Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion. Yup, she's Woody's granddaughter and Arlo's daughter. Good stuff. The album doesn't seem to have the crazy Niel Young guitar parts on it that he played live, but it's a solid country record. I dig it.

I don't want to work this weekend. Alas, I have so much shit to do. Three jobs tomorow. Bollocks.
