time to get rid of the whiney entry. i'm such a sentimental drunk.
i did realize last night that i have to get out to more shows. i'd forgotten how much i love seeing live music in small bars. granted that sometimes the bands are a bit disapointing, but it's worth sitting through some crap to catch the good ones. and you can make fun of the bad ones, which is fun too. i never really liked big concerts like arena or ampatheatre shows. it probably comes from a few years of pushing roadcases. or how it seems a bit silly and overblown. i've always prefered dirty, smoky (not anymore, sniff sniff) bars or clubs the way i've always prefered small plays to big musicals.
it seems like sometimes the story gets lost when it has to compete for your attention.
well- time to go on a long delayed comment bender. i've got a full cup of coffee, half a carton of cigarettes, it's dark and i'm i'm wearing scratched glasses.

I miss the dirty smokey bar, in general. Too much clean air around these days.
