I sent a message to a seller on ebay tonight that I wanted you to see. I feel it should be a violation that people use as a business the resell of concert tickets often times well above face value. The action and allowance of these actions prevent fans and customers that would gladly pay the recording industry to see these concerts from doing just that. I can't go see my favorite band play because 200 resellers on ebay, craigslist, and other auctions bought all the tickets so they could make a profit off of the promotional companies hard work.
My email was this:
Do you honestly find it fair to buy the tickets from ticketmaster for $60 per ticket and then resell them for more then double the price? You are forcing fans like myself that want to enjoy our favorite bands to NOT attend concerts like these. You are not providing a service. You are scalping tickets. I wish I could buy the electricity your electrical company provides to you and then charge you double the amount they would sell it for. Doesn't seem fair does it. You and others like you rip off the music industry and it's fans. You are trying to make money off of someone that has a real job to provide service to paying customers.
