I'd give them "How to Serve Man", "The Day the Earth Stood Still" and "Ender's Game".

And I'd feed them Jalepeno Jelly beans. Billions of them!

Oh, and I'm not sure what she was, aside from the borderline personality thing that she mentioned. She usually started out with apologies, but those usually degenerated into venom and curses. I think she just had too many underlying things going on inside of her and the slightest thing could set her off. Sometimes, it seemed like she wanted an excuse to explode about something.

If they are just looking for reading material, I'd give them Einstein's Monsters by Martin Amis, Obsession by A. S. Byatt, and A Cruel Madness by Colin Thubrin. If they are interested in learning about us, the book on World Religions, a book on World History, and the Idiot's Guide to Human Beings.

I hope things are balanced out now. I went out with a girl once several years ago. I spent the better part of the next year dealing with her borderline personality disorder and corresponding cocktail of assorted prescribed meds manifesting in hysterical phone calls, hang-up calls, messages spewing bile, and other things. She could be a sweetheart or she could channel the devil, usually within the span of a few minutes. She had finally balanced out to some extent, gotten married to what she said was a really sweet guy, and seemed fairly happy the last time we corresponded.

Hope your time away did something positive for you

I ended up in one of those wards a few years back after taking a bottle of naproxen and cutting my wrists (nothing bad, it hurt to much for me to go very deep. sigh )
I only spent a weekend. I was surrounded by people with real personal or tramatic problems...and I was basically bored and had wayyy to much time on my hands I guess in addition to the depression.

I've been getting out a little more thankfully. Need to go fill out some more job applications.

I'm in a serious relationship with my daughter's dad. We broke up but got back together to see how things work out this time around. IT's going okay, but I'm scared that in the future I won't be very content. We don;t want to live in the same cities,hardly like the same activites, it's very strange how we stay together.

He's a great guy despite his fidelity issues.

We don't seem to have very much in common, except being head over heels in love with each other since 2001.

I tell people I'm bi, but prefer women to men most definitely. I don't ever plan on being with another guy after my current beau. Honestly I feel like a open-mided lesbian who fell in love with a guy. Boy I bet writing that somewhere else would get me flamed.

My love/desire for women is just too strong for me to deny. He's pretty insecure about it- but I don't bring it up.

Anyway, after reading your comment, I assumed you had consumed a lot of coffee sometime earlier. Now that I've read your journal and profile, I'm guessing you are like this all of the time and twice on Sunday. I think I can see where it might take something extra to get you down for sleeping. I feel exhausted just reading you. And it's obvious you can rage like it's no one's business.

Yeah, I get the dreaded 'you must log in' message thingy on SG once in a while in the middle of something, but not lately. Never saw Ghost World. I don't think I've heard Holiday in Spain. But I don't have their last cd if that's what it is from. Anna Nalick does Breathe. Really well-written song and her voice gives it such a great delivery. I've heard it on KINK many times and probably 105, too. I can usually appreciate really good songwriting, so yeah, I like Duncan Sheik. My tastes are fairly broad, but it's usually certain artists who grab me. Speaking of which, check out Jennifer Terran. Bill Ricchini is another I like (Close the Door and Angela, especially), in the vein of Elliott Smith.

My parents have a couple of old wine barrels for decorating their yard and get tadpoles every year. But theirs all seem to grow up to be tree frogs.

I wish I had AJ's lips myself. Hers are a very sexy shape not to mention that 'crevice'in the middle of the bottom lip that is super rare I've heard.

I can't tell you how many times I've been put on meds but they never seem to work because I always forget to take them. thankfully for some reason I don't get as depressed as much as I used to.

I think I need some anxiety pills because I am afraid to go places by myself. I recently moved to a new city, I haven't been to the movies, to the mall , nada.

Only place is to the supermarket and thats only early in the morning or late at night when there aren;t that much people. This is very strange. I think I'm going to need a shrink myself.

One band of ninjas were dressed in black spandex running clothes and masks, which lead me to believe that they were members of the track team. That was the group that was shot a rocket at me.

The other band were both wearing grey and white patterned kimonos, which made since given that the ambushed me in Alaska during winter. I was supposed to fight a duel, but instead the man I was fighting attacked from ambush with a friend.
