That's pretty much how my uncle described the feeling when he took adderall - clarity. Everything that had been swirling around in his life became focused. He and my mom are the same way, although my mom's behavior didn't really indicate it much until the last several years, especially after she retired a couple of years ago. She's always battled depression, too. I tend to see my home as cluttered and I only complete sections of housecleaning or projects. I usually can stay focused at work, but this latest project just left me feeling overwhelmed and unable to collect my thoughts coherently. I have not taken any kind of test for it.
Oh, it's my best friend who is getting her masters, not me. I neve finished college. Again, I got to thinking about why and it might be an attention disorder thing. I was usually more interested in the behavior of the instructor and class than the actual subject. The various personalities and interactions between people always drew me away from the topic.

Wow...great gramma. Sorry about your loss. But the time does come. My grampa's been wanting his time to come for the last few years - once he started having a lot of trouble getting around. And now he's bedridden, except when the attendants get him into a wheelchair for a bit.

I don't consider gaming to be "busy" time. But yeah, I know what you mean. I usually eat while I'm on SG. If I can get through it by 9 or 10pm, I'll game for a couple of hours. (I was on vacation at the beginning of April, too, so I got over 40 hours of Oblivion in in one week.)
Oh, and I forgot to respond to your previous jounal because I had gaming to do. So,
1) I think so. Isn't it that self-contained, self-sustaining living environment thing. Is it in a desert area somewhere?
2) That's a tough one. The first person who comes to mind is a guy friend P. He's a hoot. Probably my best friend K. She's interesting, funny, and a walking encyclopedia, plus a great cook. Hmmm... thinking of the group and personality dynamics involved, I think I'd pick my friend L (formerly galaxyexplorer). I think the four of us would get along pretty well. And boinking L would be a definite possibility.
3) Like you said, mix cds would be ideal, especially if they were mp3 cds with tons of songs on them. Of regular cds, The Verve Pipe (self-titled), Grant Lee Buffalo - Mighty Joe Moon, Duncan Sheik - Humming, Mark Lanegan - Field Songs, Radiohead - Amnesiac, James Angell - Private Player, The New Pornographers - Electric Version, The Verve Pipe - Villains, Jennifer Terran - The Musician, Radiohead - Kid A. And some of those might be different if you ask me tomorrow.
4) I'd like to bring a cat. If I can't bring a cat, then maybe my synth or maybe several books that I own or a couple decks of cards and Hoyle's rules of games.
