Being an audio junkie or even a book junkie isn't that good. It makes you completely dependant. I can't take a bath in silence, I can't drive without music and I can't walk with no headphones on. I can't sleep if I haven't read a few pages (except if I'm drunk, right). I am bored if I don't have my book in a bus. And so on.
It's a cultural need, I guess.
