Hello all! Hope you're having a fabulous Sunday! Right now I'm sitting in my favorite old sweats, which are covered in doggie hair since I was just wrestling with my Dash. (She won. )
My mom's 45th birthday was yesterday, so my dad, brother, and I took her into DC for the day. We started out at the brand new Spy Museum. So much fun! We all had to choose a cover before starting the tour, so if anyone asks, my name is Greta Schmidt. I'm 33 years old, and I visting for four days from Bornschedt, Germany where I work as an astronomer. Just to let you know. Then we went to the Smithsonian (American History), where my mom took upwards of 45 minutes looking around the new Julia Childs' display. But it was her birthday, so whatever she wanted. I got to see Judy Garland's ruby slippers and Harrison Ford's fedora from Indiana Jones. They also had a really nice Beatles display with all these old B&W photos. There was one of Paul playing the drums, and I almost stole it. *drool*
I wanted to check out the IMAX, but we didn't have enough time. We drove back to Annapolis for dinner at Chevy's where I had the most delicious virgin strawberry daquiri, and my mom had a yummy margarita, which she enjoyed. All together a fun day.
The last Sex and the City is on tonight. *SOB!* My Sunday nights will be so lonely!
