i was in a car accident today 
but i'm ok. some guy in an SUV hit me on the driver's side because he couldn't stop. the roads are terribly icy. i'm still shakey, but thankfully, that's it. i could be this guy:

Get a lawyer! Cover your ass! Stay on them and make them work their asses off and take care of you! Don't let the guys insurance company tape you or anything.
(And I hate lawyers!)
SUV owners tend to really suck. They seem to feel that just because they spend 3 times as much for a truck 3 times too big that they don't have to do things like get them repaired. As a mechanic there are few days now that I don't do a brake inspection on someones Ubertruck and find the brakes worn out, only to be told that the owner either can't afford, or doesn't want to get the thing repaired. And those of us in regular cars end up getting crushed. So that these 1 person per ubertruck people can feel safe.
So again I urge you - Get a lawyer and cover your ass!
