I had tons of fun yesterday with a good friend i haven't seen in around four months. lots of driving, some slippery scary rain at night, but it was all worth it. i haven't laughed that hard in a looong time

other than that (or because of that), I am increasingly happier. It's like finally a hole was poked in that ever-increasing black balloon of unhappiness (nice metaphor, huh?) and it's like childhood. laughter, squeals of delight, toys, cartoons, the sense of security and carefree lightness in the midst of all the school and work and lack of sleep! i didn't think it was possible to feel this carefree and happy at this point in my life, but apparently it is!

feeling: warmth, my "new" mod vintage ebay sweater, relaxed muscles, and a little sleepy

hearing: the tv in the background, cars driving by on the rain-soaked asphalt, songs in my head

seeing: my ivory hands typing on the black laptop in front of me, the adding machine, key card maker, highlighter, pens, telephone, reservation computer, beautiful rain outside

tasting: mouthwash (squeaky clean!)

smelling: glass cleaner

where i am: at work! and yes, still with a positive attitude.

as for me, it's usually my mother, my dog, my cat, or my boyfriend. also, each of my friends and most of the time spent at my first college. times were less worrisome and tons of fun. lots of learning experiences. but warm memories nonetheless.
