On the way to SGHQ today, I was listening to two songs back to back in the car. There's a goofy radio station called JACK FM, and the first song that I heard this morning was 18 and Life by Skid Row. Memories galore.

I never really liked them or any of the hair bands, and Sebastian Bach, you have a terrible website, and should be ashamed.

The second song was Dead or Alive's You Spin me Round. I remember when that song came out, too. Here's where it gets murky. Yes, this is the honest truth, I was on the FLAG TEAM when it came out, and this was one of our songs. I happened to be mighty good at twirling flags, as the song we used to audition was New Order's Blue Monday (a song I know so well). The prissy beeyotches in the flag team bitched endlessly about the captain's choices in music, and Dead or Alive certainly didn't please them, either.

Fuck them, I thought to myself, as I was driving to work and rocking out. I wonder what they are up to these days. Not that I was friends with any of them, in fact, I quit the flag team after a short two week stint. Can you imagine, ME, cheering for anything? Especially high school SPORTS? This is what I have to say to that! puke tongue

Wait a minute... we just got a JACK FM too!

It's all automated, right? It has that radio dj who tries too hard to sound like the radio dj in Resevoir Dogs, right? And they have that snobby attitude of "we play what we want, not what you want"?

I had my suspicions that this was the first wave of completely automated stations, and I figured it had to be somewhere else too...

Good selection, sometimes, but it means goodbye to the radio dj.
