Looks like I got me a gig. If I decide to take it. My new friend Kelly says I should. I decided to go "on impulse", & said to her:
"Yes or No"?
She said "What"?
I said "Pick one".
She said "Yes". (I like that word very much most of the time).
Anywho, it looks as though I am a professional Stage Director again. It's been a while since I've done live Stage Directing, and it's a departure from what I've been doing for the last several years. I've been either working on edgy Indy films & comedy, Documentary style vids/films, street stuff, or social/political stuff, (for like AIDS, the environment, & shit)so working on a very PG kinda thing is gonna be .... different. It's basically for kids (girls, really) & their families, & very almost Saturday Morning PBS or Discovery Kids, kind of. I'll have to find a way to "Jazz it up" a bit, make a bit edgier, cool...
But it'll be good to work in theatre again. Haven't since high school. (Even that had swears in it.... we slipped in some French cusses, & from a minister, @ that!!! hehehe)...
So, if you know anyone in the Boston Area, or someone willing to travel here who can act & sing, or play instruments & wants a "piece of the take", have 'em drop me a line.
The writer already has several performance centers who welcome the show. He desires also to put it on the road.
It was a critical & financial success a couple of years ago, so I'm told. @ least the earlier version of the show....
Oh, & we may just film it for vid/ DVD release. I'm considering that as a means by which to get Production funded, plus increase interest in the live show..
& for those parties interested/involved in my other projects, fret not. I'm still working as hard on them as ever!!! This can only help....
